Week of Firsts
Our family experienced a few "firsts" last week.
Monday
We started out the week with Paul having to travel the first time since he has started his own company. He had an offer he couldn't refuse from a client in Canada. So he spent the week in Canada. On Saturday he made a stop in New York to do some work for a different client. He managed to be able see his cousin Scott and Erin. We are so excited they are having a baby girl! Paul was able to fly in Sunday and spend a few hours with us, but early on Monday he was off to Dallas. He is very busy guy!! But we are so glad he is doing good with the company so far!
Wednesday
Hannah's first trip to the dentist. She did great!! She was so excited. She sat very still and enjoyed every second. (wish I could say the same about my dental appointments.) Jacob even did a good job sitting and watching her, while he watched his dvd player. (thank goodness!)
Friday We went to a community garage sale. The kids insisted on buying skates. They were a couple sizes too big, plus I wasn't sure they were ready to balance on wheels. But they were a good deal, and I can't pass up a good deal. So I bought them thinking I would put them away for a year or so.
To my surprise Jacob did really well on his four wheels. He still needs some assistance, but he does a good job.
He didn't want me to take any more pictures of him. (sounds like Paul. =)
I was even more surprised Hannah was able to do hers. They didn't have roller skates for her. Just roller blades. She got up on them and balanced for a while, then started with just little rolls. She took them out on the street this week and is doing good. Who knew?
Hopefully next week, I'm not blogging about broken arms or legs!!
Saturday
Hannah's first primary activity. Hannah loved all the projects and games. She didn't want to leave. The primary did a really good job.
Jacob wasn't as in to the projects and games. He kept me VERY busy. He would do the game or project for about a minute and then he was off running. He had went to bed at 10 pm (my bad) the night before and got up at 4 am the next morning. So at the end of the primary activity I was leaving with a crying almost screaming boy. Fun times!
It was a fun week! Can't wait for this week's adventures.
