Our Christmas season started off with Jacob's preschool Christmas play. He we really cute in it. He was always looking at us in the audience to see if we were looking and clapping for him. When he would see us, his eyes would light up and he would get a big smile on his face. It was really sweet.
He was a construction worker in the opening scene of the program.
As you can see, he was pretty easy to spot, because he is almost a head taller than everyone else. =)
Santa came to our house a little early, so that we could travel to Utah to Christmas.
The number one thing that Jacob and Hannah wanted this year were Pillow Pets. It amazes me how much all of the kids love these things. Hannah got a penguin and Jacob got a frog.
We were able to see Grandma Hannah Oman while we were there. It was really nice to visit with her.
On Christmas Eve we went to Grandma Wheeler's house for a Christmas dinner and party. The food was so yummy, and it was so fun to hang out with everyone. Grandma and Grandpa Wheeler have so much energy for a couple their age.
Aunt Jan Hadley wasn't able to be there, but she sent all the kids cute puppets and the adults crazy flying monkeys. It was an entertaining evening.
The kids had so much fun with their cousins. Hannah is still missing them.

Madelyn wasn't quite so sure about the cousins. We have a ways to go on the sharing. Hopefully next time will be more fun, since she has 3 girl cousins her same age.
Madelyn has to be one of the best dirty look givers I have ever seen for a baby. I think the teenage years, may have a lot of ugly looks in store for me.
I had fun seeing all my brothers and sister and my brother and sisters in law. We are excited that Keri and Russell are expecting a little girl. Hooray!!
The kids had a lot of fun with Uncle Brian and Aunt Christina. They are still young and kidless, so they entertained the kids the most with their youthfulness. =)
One of my favorite things we did while we were there was go snowmobiling with my family. I had forgotten how much fun it is. Hannah was my riding partner.
Jacob rode with Paul. He got a much more exciting ride than the rest of us. He liked snowmobiling on the trail, but he isn't a huge fan of the jumps and climbing mountains yet. I'm sure one day, he'll be right there with Paul.

Paul had a lot of fun. He kept it pretty tame, because we had all the kids. But I think he still enjoyed being out on the machines.
One of Jacob's favorite part of the entire trip was eating snow. He was good to only eat the clean powder. (thank goodness) He called the snow, "mountain sugar".

We went and visited Temple Square in Salt Lake. The kids really enjoyed seeing the temple and going through the visitors center.
We ended up staying in Utah a couple days longer than we planned. We drove there, and a storm came in the day we were planning on leaving.
So we did a little bowling with Derrick and Katie's family, and Paul's parents.
We were spoiled to have Grandma and Grandpa there to babysit the babies, while we bowled. When we visit family, we realize on the convenience of having extended family nearby that we miss out on.
